Item Plan de Mejora Institucional Basado en la Auditoría de Estándares de Calidad Educativa en la Unidad Educativa San Juan Bosco Silva, Riffo(2025) Sharon Arlehin Silva Espinoza; Zinnia Arlette Riffo NarvaezThis article reports the results of an external educational audit conducted at Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional San Juan Bosco in 2026, with the aim of evaluating compliance with the quality standards of Ecuador's Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) and designing an evidence-based institutional improvement plan. The study adopted a mixed-methods, descriptive-propositional approach structured around four dimensions: administrative management, pedagogical management, school coexistence and participation, and school safety. Results show largely satisfactory performance across three of the four dimensions, with a critical gap in pedagogical management—particularly regarding an outdated Institutional Curricular Plan (PCI) in effect since 2022—and a specific weakness in monitoring the Institutional Educational Project (PEI). The proposed improvement plan prioritizes curricular updating and the implementation of systematic institutional monitoring mechanisms. Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design, data from teachers and students were analysed through inferential statistics. The results show significant improvements in creativity, feasibility, and communication, whereas innovation showed no significant changes. These findings suggest that applied competencies respond more rapidly to educational interventions. Through the analysis of information on educational quality, educational evaluation, quality standards evaluation manual, ministerial agreements, among other documents that serve as support for the implementation of an Improvement Plan which will provide important results to all members. educational community, enriching and strengthening the quality of education.Item Auditoría de los estándares de calidad educativa a la Unidad Educativa “San Josemaría Escrivá” de la ciudad de Guayaquil, Ecuador(2025) Hernán David JIMÉNEZ ORDÓÑEZAbstract: The present academic article entitled “Educational Audit as a Strategy for the Continuous Improvement of School Management” has as general objective: Propose an improvement plan for the Josemaria Escrivá Eduactional Unit based on the results obtained from the audit of the standards of educating al quality and was framed in research 2, called Planning and Development of Educational Organizations. For the present investigation, an exhaustive e search of information was carried out, including reliable sources, both national and international, from different databases and repositories. Being an applied research with a quantitative approach, the evaluation matrix of the educational quality standards was elaborated in Excel. In this way, the results were obtained and contested with the theoretical bases that support the study variables, it was concluded that the self-evaluation institutional management is essential for the improvement of internal organization processes, that are essential in the management of the manager, who must ensure that it is a truthful and transparent process that allows to propose viable and effective improvement strategies.Item Plan de mejora de la unidad educativa particular católico Richard Cushing(2025) Angos Chasin Marlon JavieraThis article's research is based on an audit conducted at the Private Catholic Educational Unit Cardenal Richard Cushing, dedicated to verifying the implementation of the 55 quality standards established by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador. This rigorous analysis assesses educational management across four fundamental dimensions: administrative, pedagogical, school safety, coexistence, school participation, and cooperation. Beyond providing a detailed snapshot of the institutional situational status, the essence of this intrinsically diagnostic approach lies in its ability to preserve achievements and strengthen identified areas for improvement. In response to the challenges encountered, a strategic improvement plan is presented, addressing not only identified deficiencies but also proactively aiming to enhance educational quality in the institution. Thus, a clear path toward continuous and sustainable development is outlined for the institution.Item De la auditoría a la mejora institucional: plan para fortalecer competencias emprendedoras en Bachillerato, caso Unidad Educativa Particular San Josemaría Escrivá(2025) Jean Pierre GARCÍA CISNEROS; María Alejandra LOOR PLAZAThis study aimed to audit the institutional process for developing entrepreneurial competencies among upper-secondary students at Unidad Educative Particular San Josemaría Escrivá and to design an Improvement Plan based on the identified gaps. The research was structured as a theoretical review article with an applied educational audit component, supported by literature on educational quality, teacher professional development, university mentoring, authentic assessment, and the EntreComp framework. The institutional diagnosis integrated documentary evidence, pretest and posttest questionnaires, training and mentoring records, student projects, and a rubric applied during the entrepreneurship fair. The initial sample included 61 students from groups C and D and 17 teachers and school leaders. Comparative analyses were restricted to complete records whose individual correspondence between both measurement points could be verified. The findings revealed strengths in school–university collaboration, project development, teamwork, and the implementation of authentic assessment strategies. The main gaps involved the absence of annual institutional planning, limited systematization of teacher training and mentoring, insufficient traceability of evidence, uneven development of opportunity identification and applied innovation, and the lack of a formal monitoring and continuous improvement cycle. Based on these findings, an Institutional Improvement Plan was designed, including actions, responsible stakeholders, resources, baseline conditions, indicators, targets, monitoring frequency, and verification sources. Since the study was conducted in a single institution with a non-probabilistic sample and intact groups, the findings were interpreted as context-specific evidence rather than as generalizable causal proof.Item Plan de Mejora de Unidad Educativa Particular Sagrada Familia de Nazareth después de una Auditoría no presencial.(2025) Laura De Los Angeles HERRERA HERRERA; Tania Lisette JACHO RODRIGUEZThe present study addresses the evaluation of educational quality in the Private Educational Unit "Sagrada Familia de Nazareth" through a non-face-to-face audit. Data collection instruments, such as surveys, interviews and class observations, were applied to measure compliance with the educational quality standards established by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador. The results revealed that only 27.27% of the standards were rated as "satisfactory", while 18.18% "did not meet". Based on these findings, an improvement plan was designed focused on the implementation of administrative procedures, strengthening teaching practice, and improving institutional communication. This approach seeks to promote effective educational management and organizational transformation.Item Auditoría educativa y diseño de un plan de mejora con base en los estándares de calidad de la Unidad Educativa Particular Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin. Coque - Aguirre(2025) Juan Adrián Coque Tubón; Mercy Amparo Aguirre RomeroThe objective of this study was to design an institutional improvement plan based on the results of an educational audit conducted at the Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin Private Educational Institution. The research adopted a descriptive and applied approach, using document review, institutional observation, and evidence analysis through the official educational audit matrix. A total of 55 educational quality standards were evaluated across the dimensions of administrative management, pedagogical management, school coexistence and participation, and school safety. The results revealed an institutional compliance rate of 90.91%, with 50 standards achieved and 5 in progress. The five standards in progress identified opportunities for improvement related to the use and availability of infrastructure, equipment, and teaching resources (two standards), the monitoring of academic support interventions (one standard), community participation in school coexistence (one standard), and risk management (one standard). Based on this diagnosis, three standards were prioritized for the institutional improvement plan due to their significant impact on strengthening institutional management and their ability to integrate the main findings identified: the use and availability of infrastructure, equipment, and teaching resources; the monitoring and evaluation of academic support; and community participation in school coexistence. Based on these findings, a SWOT analysis and an institutional improvement plan were developed, including objectives, goals, activities, responsible stakeholders, resources, indicators, and monitoring mechanisms. It is concluded that the educational audit constitutes a strategic tool for strengthening school management, supporting evidencebased decision-making, and promoting the continuous improvement of educational quality.Item Plan de Mejora de la Unidad Educativa Particular la Consolata(2025) Victoria Cristina BARZOLA CALDERÓN; Vicente Paúl ORDOÑEZ BURGOSThe objective of this academic study was to determine compliance with the educational quality standards established by the Ministry of Education in the La Consolata Private Educational Unit. The applied methodology was of a non-experimental nature with a descriptive and explanatory qualitative approach; A field investigation was carried out applying direct observation techniques to the campus infrastructure, classroom observations, documentary analysis in the areas of school management, managerial and teaching performance to collect the necessary information. The data collection was carried out through an audit matrix with the compilation of the 55 educational quality standards and their respective indicators. It was concluded that the Educational Unit is in a Yellow situational state corresponding to 65% of dimensions that are met in the quality standards.Item Auditoría y asesoría educativa para el fortalecimiento de la gestión institucional en la Unidad Educativa Particular “San Joaquín y Santa Ana”(2025) Karina de Jesús Chulde Villacis; Kelly del Rocío Suárez MarcilloThe objective of this study is to design an institutional improvement plan based on the results of the educational audit conducted at the "San Joaquín y Santa Ana" Private Educational Institution, aimed at strengthening administrative and pedagogical management to support compliance with educational quality standards. Methodology: The research is classified as a mixed-methods study, integrating quantitative, qualitative, and document-based approaches. The study participants consisted of the management staff (principal and inspector), administrative staff (secretary, collector, and Student Counseling Department [DECE]), teachers from both morning and afternoon shifts, as well as students and parents from the educational community. The instruments used for data collection were classroom observation sheets, interview forms directed at key stakeholders, infrastructure walk-through rubrics, and a comprehensive document review of institutional plans and protocols. Results: A definitive number of 55 educational quality standards were evaluated, using a three-level assessment scale: "satisfactory", "in progress", and "does not comply". Quantified results determined that 52.73% (29 standards) achieved a satisfactory level, 41.82% (23 standards) are in progress, and 5.45% (3 standards) were categorized as "does not comply". Specifically, School Management reached 44.44% compliance, Director Performance 52.38%, and Teacher Performance 62.50%. Discussion and Proposal: Prioritized problems included the lack of participatory construction of the Institutional Educational Plan (PEI), the absence of formalized academic and administrative procedures, the misalignment of the Institutional Curricular Project (PCI) with the National Curriculum, partial implementation of formative assessment, and a lack of systematization in pedagogical support. At Santa Rosa de Lima School in Isla Trinitaria, Guayaquil, the absence of a Pedagogical Support Plan was identified as the main issue, along with areas for improvement in academic reinforcement and participatory strategies. An integral plan is proposed to empower teachers, promote innovative practices, and foster inclusive, meaningful learning, laying the groundwork for continuous improvement.Item ELABORACIÓN DEL PLAN DE MEJORA DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA PARTICULAR “DOLORES SOPEÑA(2025) Violeta Cristina Chica Rojas; Zoila Cristina Lomas ParreñoEducational auditing constitutes a systematic process that allows assessing the level of compliance with educational quality standards and guiding decision-making for institutional improvement. The objective of this article was to design an Institutional Improvement Plan based on the results of the audit conducted at the Dolores Sopeña Private Educational Unit, located in the city of Guayaquil. The study was developed using a descriptive and applied approach, utilizing document review, institutional observation, records analysis, and the evaluation of educational quality standards. The results showed that, out of the 55 standards evaluated, 44 were achieved and 11 are in the process of compliance, which allowed identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement in institutional management. Among the main findings, deficiencies were identified in the systematization of information, an absence of periodic classroom observations, a lack of academic reinforcement plans derived from the analysis of results, a lack of handrails in circulation areas, and the presence of fire extinguishers without operational charge. Based on these findings, an Institutional Improvement Plan was designed that includes goals, activities, responsible parties, indicators, and means of verification aimed at strengthening educational management. Juan María Riera”, with the aim of strengthening educational quality, improving academic results and promoting the comprehensive training of students, guided by the agreements, guidelines and quality standards issued by the Ministry of Education. An institutional improvement plan is proposed that includes the identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in school management, directives and teaching performance. Concrete strategies are proposed to address weaknesses in the identified areas, prioritizing the development and implementation of the Institutional Curricular Project, followed by teacher training, encouraging the participation of the educational community. In addition, the importance of the socialization of the code of coexistence, comprehensive plans and protocols to meet the needs of the student body is highlighted. The document emphasizes the continuous evaluation of the implemented actions and feedback as a fundamental part of the educational improvement process.Item Plan de mejora de Escuela de Educación Básica Particular Nuestra Señora de Montebello(2025) Norma Maarieta Sanabria Yepez; Guido Arquímides Cedeño MurilloThis scientific article focuses on conducting an evaluation based on the current quality standards issued by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador. The data obtained reflected the strengths and issues existing in the various dimensions analyzed through a SWOT analysis, which directed the development of a focused and personalized improvement plan addressing the identified difficulties, primarily the recognition of merits and the optimization of academic-administrative processes at the “Nuestra Señora de Montebello” Private Basic Education School. It is important to highlight that there is a 74% compliance with the standards, demonstrating a high level of adherence to educational regulations. However, key areas were identified where improvements can be made, such as: optimization of physical space, process management, merit recognition, and staff training. Auditing is presented as a monitoring and evaluation of pedagogical and management processes based on national educational standards, while counselling is a technical action of a professional nature whose main function is to guide institutional management. In order to achieve educational excellence in the "Cardinal Richard Cushing" school, this research has proposed the design of an improvement plan to optimise the management of educational processes based on the evaluation of educational quality standards. In order to achieve this objective, a qualitative approach and action-research methodological design were used. The ARG was applied at the Monseñor Néstor Astudillo Fiscomisional School with the validation of the 55 standards of learning, school management, and professional performance that currently govern in Ecuador, taking into account that these processes allow evaluating internal institutional achievements to improve quality educational. The methodology applied for this research was descriptive using techniques such as observation, documentary research, structured interviews, and document analysis. An audit was carried out that included the analysis of educational quality standards using a mixed field methodology. To gather the necessary information, various techniques such as documentary research, interviews and surveys were used. Based on the results obtained from the matrix for specifying educational quality standards, problems were identified and prioritized in key areas such as administrative management, pedagogical management and school safety. Finally, the development of the improvement plan focuses on managing the necessary actions and consciously engaging all actors in the educational community, with the aim of implementing effective solutions that contribute to the advancement and development of education in the institution
