ESTUDIO DE LA SATISFACCIÓN LABORAL EN UNA INSTITUCIÓN DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR EN EL ECUADOR.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is important in any type of job, not only in terms of the well-being of people, but also in terms of productivity and quality. The main objective of the present work is to carry out a preliminary study of job satisfaction at an Institution of Higher Education in Ecuador and determine the factors that most affect it. A literary review of the background, concepts and measurement scales of the construct was carried out, and through the application of the instrument Minessota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) of Weiss, Dawis, England, & Lofquist to 461 workers, it was found that the job satisfaction surround the 6 points (scale of 1 to 7) placing the surveyed at a level of “laborally satisfied” and that the dimension that most affects the overall satisfaction of the university staff is the intrinsic satisfaction.
