Abstract
Currently, the evolution of learning in the 21st century requires students to develop critical and creative thinking that allows them to function in different areas in the future, which is why the main objective of this degree project is to explore learning strategies for the development of critical and creative thinking in 6th year students of Basic Education of the Ambato Educational Unit of the city of Cariamanga.
This research was based on qualitative and quantitative designs, that is, this study is characterized by having a mixed approach which allowed obtaining information that allowed a broader understanding and interpretation and through the analysis it was possible to demonstrate the importance of learning strategies in the development of critical and creative thinking in students, because through the strategies the classes become interactive giving a participatory and collaborative role to the teaching-learning process.

En la actualidad, la evolución del aprendizaje en el siglo XXI demanda que los estudiantes desarrollen un pensamiento crítico y creativo que les permita desenvolverse en diferentes ámbitos en el futuro, por lo cual el presente proyecto de titulación tiene como objetivo principal explorar las estrategias de aprendizaje para el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y creativo en estudiantes de 6to año de Educación Básica de la Unidad Educativa Ambato de la ciudad de Cariamanga.
Esta investigación se basó en los diseños cualitativo y cuantitativo, es decir este estudio se caracteriza por ser de enfoque mixto el cual permitió obtener información que permitió una comprensión e interpretación más amplia y a través del análisis se logró evidenciar la importancia que tienen las estrategias de aprendizaje en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y creativo en los estudiantes, debido a que a través de las estrategias las clases se vuelven interactivas dando un rol participativo y colaborativo al proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje.
