Abstract
The main objective of this research was to evaluate and analyze the work environment in the telecommunications department of the Municipal Public Company for Telecommunications, Drinking Water, Sewage, and Sanitation of Cuenca Etapa EP, with the aim of providing recommendations to improve working conditions and employee satisfaction. A Likert-type questionnaire with 21 questions was used as the methodology, addressing 6 dimensions of the work environment (teamwork (4 questions), motivation (4 questions), communication (3 questions), equality (3 questions), physical conditions (2 questions), and leadership (5 questions)), which allowed us to assess whether the climate is good, fair, or poor. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo principal evaluar y analizar el clima laboral en el área de telecomunicaciones de la empresa pública municipal de telecomunicaciones, agua potable, alcantarillado y saneamiento de Cuenca ETAPA EP, con la finalidad de proporcionar recomendaciones para mejorar las condiciones de trabajo y la satisfacción de los empleados. Como metodología se aplicó un cuestionario tipo Likert de 21 preguntas que responden a 6 dimensiones del clima laboral (trabajo en equipo (4 preguntas), motivación (4 preguntas), comunicación (3 preguntas), igualdad (3 preguntas), condiciones físicas (2 preguntas) y liderazgo (5 preguntas)), con las que se logró medir si el clima es bueno, regular o malo. Se obtuvo como resultado principal que el área de telecomunicaciones tiene un clima regular, lo que implica que se promuevan modificaciones leves en la motivación, algunas modificaciones en las dimensiones de trabajo en equipo y liderazgo y urgen mejoras en el área de comunicación e igualdad.
