| dc.description | El proyecto de tesis propone la revitalización del parque urbano en Babahoyo, Ecuador, basándose en la necesidad evidente de abordar la insuficiencia de espacios verdes, la contaminación, la inseguridad turística y las inundaciones que impactan negativamente la calidad de vida de los habitantes y el desarrollo turístico de la ciudad. Esta propuesta se sustenta en una investigación exhaustiva que proporciona información detallada sobre la situación actual de los espacios verdes en Babahoyo, respaldada por datos concretos como el índice verde urbano y la disparidad en la distribución de estos espacios. Además, se fundamenta en la necesidad de soluciones innovadoras y estratégicas para abordar estos desafíos, reconociendo la interconexión entre ellos y la importancia de enfoques integrales y sostenibles en la planificación urbana. El objetivo general del proyecto es proponer la revitalización del parque urbano incorporando áreas verdes e implementando el concepto de supermanzanas, estrategias que se respaldan en experiencias exitosas en otras ciudades y en las tendencias actuales en planificación urbana que promueven la integración de elementos naturales y la creación de entornos urbanos sostenibles. Los objetivos específicos se enfocan en diseñar arquitectónicamente la integración de elementos naturales, incorporar la supermanzana como medida de control del tráfico vehicular y asegurar la armoniosa integración de la revitalización del parque y la supermanzana con el entorno urbano existente, respetando su historia y su identidad. Este proyecto aspira a contribuir al bienestar de la comunidad y al desarrollo sostenible de Babahoyo, proporcionando un modelo replicable en otras áreas con desafíos similares en todo el país. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The thesis project proposes the revitalization of the urban park in Babahoyo, Ecuador, based on the evident need to address the insufficiency of green spaces, pollution, tourist insecurity and flooding that negatively impact the quality of life of the inhabitants and the tourist development of the city. This proposal is supported by comprehensive research that provides detailed information on the current situation of green spaces in Babahoyo, backed by concrete data such as the urban green index and the disparity in the distribution of these spaces. Furthermore, it is based on the need for innovative and strategic solutions to address these challenges, recognizing the interconnection between them and the importance of comprehensive and sustainable approaches in urban planning. The overall objective of the project is to propose the revitalization of the urban park by incorporating green areas and implementing the concept of superblocks, strategies that are supported by successful experiences in other cities and current trends in urban planning that promote the integration of natural elements and the creation of sustainable urban environments. The specific objectives focus on architecturally designing the integration of natural elements, incorporating the superblock as a traffic control measure, and ensuring the harmonious integration of the revitalization of the park and the superblock with the existing urban environment, respecting its history and identity. This project aims to contribute to the wellbeing of the community and the sustainable development of Babahoyo, providing a replicable model for other areas with similar challenges throughout the country | |
