dc.descriptionEl presente trabajo de investigación busca mediante un análisis descriptivo cuantificar el impacto de las salvaguardas en las importaciones del Ecuador para el período 2015-2016, utilizando datos estadísticos que proporciona el Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE) y el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticos y Censos (INEC). Los resultados de esta investigación demuestran que el Estado cumplió con el objetivo propuesto al disminuir las Importaciones y eliminar el déficit de la Balanza Comercial para el primer trimestre del 2016. A nivel de la Industria de Cárnicos se tiene un leve incremento en el nivel de producción y empleo, por lo que los efectos de la aplicación de las salvaguardas pueden considerarse como positivos para este sector.es
dc.description.abstractThe present research seeks, through a descriptive analysis, to quantify the impact of safeguards on imports from Ecuador for the period 2015-2016; using statistical data provided by the Central Bank of Ecuador (ECB) and the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses INEC). The results of this research show that the State met the proposed objective of decreasing Imports and reduced the deficit of the Trade Balance for the first quarter of 2016. At the level of the Meat Industry there is a slight increase in production, so the effects of the application of safeguards can be considered as positive for this sector.es
