Abstract
The general objective of this research work is the following: to determine how the absence of pedagogical strategies in the story influences to promote reading habits in children in fifth and sixth grade of basic education at the Soldado José Díaz School.
In this investigative work, the methodology that was used in the research was analyzed, which helped to provide a solution to the proposed objectives. In addition, the paradigm, approach and method are defined according to the object of study that was investigated. Subsequently, the techniques, procedures and instruments that were used to collect data information were detailed, in order to investigate the problems posed to strengthen reading comprehension through stories as a resource that generates learning in fifth and sixth grade students. basic education at the Soldier José Díaz School of Basic Education.

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo general el siguiente: determinar cómo influye la ausencia de estrategias pedagógicas en el cuento para fomentar los hábitos lectores en los niños de quinto y sexto grado de educación básica de la Escuela Soldado José Díaz.
En este trabajo investigativo, se analizó la metodología que fue empleada en la investigación, la cual ayudo a dar solución a los objetivos propuestos. Además, se define el paradigma, enfoque y el método de acuerdo al objeto de estudio que se investigó. Posteriormente se detallaron las técnicas, procedimientos e instrumentos que se utilizaron para la recopilación de información de datos, con el fin de indagar la problemática planteada para fortalecer la comprensión lectora a través de los cuentos como recurso generador de aprendizajes en estudiantes de quinto y sexto de educación básica de la Escuela de Educación Básica Soldado José Díaz.
