"EL IMPACTO DEL DESARROLLO SOCIOEMOCIONAL EN EL APRENDIZAJE DE NIÑOS DE 1 A 5 EN EL CENTRO DE EDUCACIÓN INICIAL EL RINCÓN DE MISS MACA

Abstract

Socioemotional development during early childhood is a cornerstone of children's learning and well-being. At this stage, children acquire skills to manage emotions, interact with others, and strengthen their social abilities. However, many educational institutions prioritize academic performance, often overlooking emotional growth, which can impact their overall development. This study explores the connection between socioemotional development and learning in children aged 1 to 5 years at "El Rincón de Miss Maca" Early Childhood Education Center. Through a mixed-methods approach, data were gathered via surveys with teachers and families, alongside classroom observations, to assess the impact of emotional development on academic performance. Findings indicate that children with stronger emotional foundations engage more in class, develop better interpersonal relationships, and achieve greater academic stability. The study concludes that integrating socioemotional education strategies into the curriculum enhances both learning outcomes and children's well-being.
