Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the application of the code of ethics within the municipality of San Francisco de Milagro, in order to determine its impact on the effective administrative management of this council. The approach is quantitative, and a survey was administered to 94 public servants working within the local government. The dimensions focused on the application of standards of conduct and barriers to their application. The results showed that 81% stated that the code of ethics is applied, 19% stated that it is anti-bribery policies, while 87% stated that the barriers to compliance with the code of ethics are consequences to physical integrity. The conclusion is that the code of ethics contributes to employee commitment and generates reputation and credibility among citizens. at placerat ipsum, vitae commodo justo.

El objetivo del estudio es analizar la aplicación del código de ética dentro del municipio del cantón San Francisco de Milagro, con la finalidad de determinar su incidencia en la efectiva gestión administrativa de este cabildo. El enfoque es cuantitativo y se aplicó una encuesta a 94 servidores públicos que colaboran dentro del gobierno local. Las dimensiones versaron sobre aplicación de normas de conducta y barreras para su aplicación. Se obtuvo como resultado que un 81% afirma que se aplica el código de ética y el 19% son políticas anti soborno, mientras que un 87% expresa que las barreras para dar cumplimiento con los códigos deontológicos son las consecuencias a la integridad física. Se concluye que el código de ética coadyuva en el compromiso laboral y genera reputación de imagen y credibilidad ante los ciudadanos.
