| dc.description | La inclusión financiera es un término de carácter multidimensional que permite a la sociedad alcanzar el bienestar a través de la igualdad de oportunidades, siendo un pilar importante en el desarrollo económico de los ciudadanos. Por ello, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el estado actual de la inclusión financiera en Ecuador y proponer estrategias para ampliar el acceso a servicios financieros a los segmentos de población más vulnerables. Para su elaboración se aplicó una metodología de tipo descriptiva y documental con enfoque cualitativo a través de los métodos de revisión bibliográfica y análisis documental donde se recopilo información relevante sobre los índices de inclusión financiera y productos o servicios financieros más demandados actualmente a través de libros, artículos científicos, datos de los últimos cinco años publicados en páginas oficiales como el Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE), Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC), entre otros. Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que, en Ecuador los índices de pobreza en el área rural son elevados con un 17% de los ciudadanos viviendo en condición de pobreza mientras que el 3.9% viven en pobreza extrema reflejando la falta de oportunidades económicas que tienen estos grupos más vulnerables y el limitado acceso a servicios financieros. Por otro lado, se logró evidenciar que, en el país existe una tendencia creciente del uso de productos financieros, puesto que en el 2021 y 2023 este incremento. A partir de esto, se concluye que, la inclusión financiera en estas áreas rurales son un factor determinante para combatir la pobreza y promover el desarrollo económico. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Financial inclusion is a multidimensional term that allows society to achieve well-being through equal opportunities, being an important pillar in the economic development of citizens. Therefore, the present study aims to analyze the current state of financial inclusion in Ecuador and propose strategies to expand access to financial services to the most vulnerable segments of the population. For its preparation, a descriptive and documentary methodology was applied with a qualitative approach through the methods of bibliographic review and documentary analysis where relevant information was collected on the indexes of financial inclusion and financial products or services most in demand currently through books, scientific articles, data from the last five years published on official websites such as the Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE), National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), among others. The results obtained showed that, in Ecuador, poverty rates in rural areas are high with 17% of citizens living in poverty while 3.9% live in extreme poverty, reflecting the lack of economic opportunities that these most vulnerable groups have and the limited access to financial services. On the other hand, it was possible to show that, in the country, there is a growing trend in the use of financial products, since in 2021 and 2023 this increase is expected. From this, it is concluded that financial inclusion in these rural areas is a determining factor to combat poverty and promote economic development. | |
