| dc.description | El presente trabajo muestra el buen comportamiento que ha tenido el mercado de seguros ecuatoriano en la última década. El objetivo de la investigación es analizar el crecimiento del mercado asegurador privado en Ecuador dentro del periodo 2009-2015 mediante las primas netas emitidas por las cinco aseguradoras más grandes del país. Los datos fueron recolectados de la Superintendencia de Bancos y Seguros. El tipo de investigación fue descriptiva y se utilizó el método cuantitativo para analizar el primaje de las principales aseguradoras junto a sus ramos más emitidos. Los resultados evidenciaron un crecimiento sostenido del mercado asegurador en general, reportando un mayor aumento en primas a la aseguradora Colonial mientras que el ramo con más primas netas emitidas en el periodo fue el ramo de vehículos. | es |
| dc.description.abstract | The present work shows the good behavior that has had the Ecuadorian insurance market in the last decade. The objective of this research is to analyze the growth of the private insurance market in Ecuador within the period 2009-2015 by means of premiums emissions by the five largest companies in the country.
