This project analyzes the influence of augmented reality in teaching 3D geometry to high school students (first year of high school). Using a mixed-method design that analyzed both qualitative and quantitative results, the studies compared the academic outcomes of a group that used an augmented reality tool, such as GeoGebra 3D, with another that followed traditional methods. The findings reveal significant improvements in spatial understanding, motivation, and academic performance in the experimental group. Strengths such as visual interaction and active learning were identified, as well as limitations related to technological access and teacher training. The discussion is based on previous studies that confirm the effectiveness of AR in educational contexts. It is concluded that augmented reality represents an innovative pedagogical tool for transforming the learning of abstract and visual concepts such as spatial geometry, and future lines of research on its curricular integration are proposed.
