Abstract

The main objective of this work is to explore the strategies for the acquisition of reading-writing skills, which influence the meaningful learning of first-year basic students at the "Dr. Jorge Murillo Ugarte" from the city of Machala. The research methodology has a non-experimental design with a qualitative approach, which led to the search and analysis of various information recorded in bibliographic data about the problem raised, demonstrated through the application of instruments and observation of the problem, to through which it was possible to establish as the most relevant conclusion that the application of strategies for the acquisition of reading-writing skills influences the significant learning of first-year basic students, facilitating learning through interactive classes and recreational materials that They allow you to awaken interest in these reading-writing processes.
