Abstract
This study investigates the influence of literacy on the reading comprehension of third grade children. Its purpose is to analyze how literacy practices impact motivation and autonomy in learning. A quantitative and descriptive methodology was used, applying surveys to students and teachers to collect data about their experiences in relation to reading. The results indicate that well-designed pedagogical strategies, focused on literacy, significantly improve reading comprehension and awakens interest in reading. However, differences were identified in the management of inferential skills, which underlines the need to adjust pedagogical interventions to ensure more effective teaching. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between parents and educators to cultivate a love for reading, which drives academic success for students and improves their emotional and cognitive development.

Este estudio investiga la influencia de la lectoescritura en la comprensión lectora de niños de tercer grado. Su propósito es analizar cómo las prácticas de lectoescritura impactan la motivación y la autonomía en el aprendizaje. Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa y descriptiva, aplicando encuestas a estudiantes y docentes para recopilar datos sobre sus experiencias en relación con la lectura. Los resultados indican que estrategias pedagógicas bien diseñadas, centradas en la lectoescritura, mejoran significativamente la comprensión lectora y despiertan el interés por la lectura. Sin embargo, se identificaron diferencias en el manejo de habilidades inferenciales, lo que subraya la necesidad de ajustar las intervenciones pedagógicas para garantizar una enseñanza más efectiva. Este estudio enfatiza la importancia de la colaboración entre padres y educadores para cultivar un amor por la lectura, lo que impulsa el éxito académico de los estudiantes y mejora su desarrollo emocional y cognitivo.
