| dc.description | Este trabajo investigativo examina cómo los hábitos de lectura en lengua inglesa inciden en el desarrollo de la comprensión lectora en estudiantes de décimo grado. El estudio se fundamentó en encuestas aplicadas a una muestra estratificada de cuarenta y cinco estudiantes y dos docentes, lo que permitió identificar aquellos aspectos que afectan la lectura en inglés. Se identificó elementos como la limitada implementación de estrategias pedagógicas efectivas por parte de los docentes, y un entorno escolar y familiar poco oportuno para incentivar adecuadamente la lectura en este idioma. Los resultados arrojan un bajo interés en la lectura por parte de los alumnos encuestados, así como una aplicación restringida de técnicas que favorezcan la comprensión lectora. Con los estudios analizados, se puede concluir que la escasa práctica de la lectura está directamente relacionado con un bajo rendimiento en la comprensión lectora, lo que repercute en el desempeño académico de los estudiantes. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This research work examines how reading habits in English influence the development of reading comprehension among tenth-grade students. The study was based on surveys administered to a stratified sample of forty-five students and two teachers, which allowed for the identification of aspects that affect reading in English. Elements such as the limited implementation of effective pedagogical strategies by teachers and an unsuitable school and family environment for adequately encouraging reading in this language were identified. The results indicate a low interest in reading among the surveyed students, as well as a restricted application of techniques that enhance reading comprehension. Based on the analyzed studies, it can be concluded that the limited practice of reading is directly related to low performance in reading comprehension, which impacts the academic achievement of the students. | |
