| dc.description | La auditoría educativa constituye un proceso sistemático que permite valorar el nivel de cumplimiento de los estándares de calidad educativa y orientar la toma de decisiones para la mejora institucional. El presente artículo tuvo como objetivo diseñar un Plan de Mejora Institucional basado en los resultados de la auditoría realizada en la Unidad Educativa Particular Dolores Sopeña, ubicada en la ciudad de Guayaquil. El estudio se desarrolló mediante un enfoque descriptivo y aplicado, utilizando revisión documental, observación institucional, análisis de registros y evaluación de los estándares de calidad educativa. Los resultados evidenciaron que, de los 55 estándares evaluados, 44 fueron alcanzados y 11 se encuentran en proceso de cumplimiento, lo que permitió identificar fortalezas y oportunidades de mejora en la gestión institucional. Entre los principales hallazgos se identificaron deficiencias en la sistematización de la información, ausencia de observaciones áulicas periódicas, inexistencia de planes de refuerzo académico derivados del análisis de resultados, falta de pasamanos en áreas de circulación y presencia de extintores sin carga operativa. Con base en estos hallazgos, se diseñó un Plan de Mejora Institucional que contempla metas, actividades, responsables, indicadores y medios de verificación orientados al fortalecimiento de la gestión educativa. | dc.description.abstract | Educational auditing constitutes a systematic process that allows assessing the level of compliance with educational quality standards and guiding decision-making for institutional improvement. The objective of this article was to design an Institutional Improvement Plan based on the results of the audit conducted at the Dolores Sopeña Private Educational Unit, located in the city of Guayaquil. The study was developed using a descriptive and applied approach, utilizing document review, institutional observation, records analysis, and the evaluation of educational quality standards. The results showed that, out of the 55 standards evaluated, 44 were achieved and 11 are in the process of compliance, which allowed identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement in institutional management. Among the main findings, deficiencies were identified in the systematization of information, an absence of periodic classroom observations, a lack of academic reinforcement plans derived from the analysis of results, a lack of handrails in circulation areas, and the presence of fire extinguishers without operational charge. Based on these findings, an Institutional Improvement Plan was designed that includes goals, activities, responsible parties, indicators, and means of verification aimed at strengthening educational management.
