Abstract
The investigation addressed the reading of several scientific articles, which highlight the
need for societies to evolve their research system in the reconstruction of traffic accidents, the
main objective was to recognize the theoretical contributions on the simulation and
reconstruction of accidents. These have become a social problem that causes not only economic
losses, but also human ones. The research was qualitative and followed ethnomethodology as a
methodology, since the different social phenomena that have been related to the change and
evolution of virtual reconstruction in traffic accidents will be studied in search of improving the
quality of the results of the expertise in this area. It was descriptive since it seeks to analyze and
describe the processes carried out in the investigation of traffic accidents and the contribution
that simulation has in solving cases. It was concluded that, due to the variety, complexity and
instantaneity of traffic accidents, the accuracy of performing quantitative accident analysis
manually is quite low. With the development of simulation technology, numerical simulation
methods can lay the theoretical foundation for vehicle accident reconstruction.

La investigación, abordó la lectura de varios artículos científicos, que resaltan la necesidad de
que las sociedades evolucionan su sistema de investigación en la reconstrucción de accidentes de
tránsito, el principal objetivo fue el de reconocer las aportaciones teóricas sobre la simulación y
reconstrucción de accidentes. Estos se han convertido en un problema social y que causa no solo
pérdidas económicas, sino además humanas. La investigación fue cualitativa y siguió como
metodología la etnometodología, ya que se estudiarán los distintos fenómenos sociales que ha
tenido relación con el cambio y evolución de la reconstrucción virtual en los siniestros de
tránsito en busca de mejorar la calidad de los resultados de las pericias en esta área. Fue
descriptiva ya que busca analizar y describir los procesos realizados en la investigación de los
accidentes de tránsito y el aporte que tiene la simulación en la resolución de los casos. Se llegó a
la conclusión que, debido a la variedad, complejidad e instantaneidad de los siniestros de
tránsito, la precisión de realizar análisis cuantitativos de accidentes de forma manual es bastante
baja. Con el desarrollo de la tecnología de simulación, los métodos de simulación numérica
pueden sentar las bases teóricas para la reconstrucción de siniestros de tránsito.
