APRENDIZAJE BASADO EN PROYECTOS CON PERSPECTIVA STEAM Y SU INCIDENCIA EN LAS HABILIDADES BLANDAS DE ESTUDIANTES DE OCTAVO Y NOVENO AÑO DE EDUCACIÓN GENERAL BÁSICA SUPERIOR DE UNIDAD EDUCATIVA "COMANDANTE FRANCISCO PITA" EN LA CIUDAD DE GUAYAQUIL

Abstract

Project-based learning with a STEAM perspective is an active methodology that seeks to promote integrative thinking between the different subjects of a curriculum, with this work being a door to discover the impact of this approach on students in the eighth and ninth grade of basic education, Commander Francisco Pita Pita Educational Unit in post-pandemic learning, from the aspect of a change in modality as proposed in this context, that is, from virtual to in-person. During the worldwide confinement in the educational field, virtuality was implemented as strategies as a mechanism for the continuity of education; However, during this process, important variables were lost within the teaching-learning process, such as socialization and soft skills, which are very important when assimilating content in a meaningful way.

Once in classrooms, teachers and students face major challenges such as recovering content and meaningful learning for students in the secondary education stage. This approach allows us to show a wide range of positivities regarding our work within the classroom as well as the development of its social environment.

On the other hand, the need for the students of this educational center to increase their skills through this tool is proven since their teachers use different methodologies, but they do it in an individual and non-integrative way.
