Abstract
The present research aimed to analyze teaching strategies and their impact on the mathematics performance of tenth-grade students at the "Santa María del Fíat" Fiscomisional Educational Unit. A mixed-method approach with a quantitative focus was applied, using Likert-type surveys with 113 students and open-ended questions to collect qualitative perceptions. The results revealed recurring difficulties in algebra and fractions, as well as a preference for dynamic strategies such as teamwork, gamification, and the use of technological resources. It was determined that academic performance improves when active methodologies that promote participation and meaningful understanding are applied. Finally, the importance of considering student voice and strengthening teaching practices through innovative and contextualized strategies that motivate learning and respond to the needs of students in rural settings is highlighted.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar las estrategias didácticas y su impacto en el rendimiento en Matemática de los estudiantes de Décimo Grado de la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional “Santa María del Fíat”. Se aplicó un enfoque mixto con predominio cuantitativo, mediante encuestas tipo Likert a 113 estudiantes y preguntas abiertas para recoger percepciones cualitativas. Los resultados evidenciaron dificultades recurrentes en álgebra y fracciones, además de una preferencia por estrategias dinámicas como el trabajo en equipo, la gamificación y el uso de recursos tecnológicos. Se determinó que el rendimiento académico mejora cuando se aplican metodologías activas que promueven la participación y la comprensión significativa. Al final, se resalta la importancia de considerar la voz estudiantil y de fortalecer la práctica docente mediante estrategias innovadoras y contextualizadas que motiven al aprendizaje y respondan a las necesidades de los estudiantes en contextos rurales
