Abstract
The study evaluated the impact of educational innovation strategies on the academic
performance of seventh-year students at Unidad Educativa Santa Ana de Cotacachi. A mixedmethods
approach was used, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis through observations,
interviews, and document analysis. Results showed a significant improvement in academic
performance, especially among students with access to technology and active methodologies.
However, teacher training and technological infrastructure influenced the effectiveness of these
strategies. The study concludes that educational innovation enhances learning, but its impact
depends on contextual factors and teacher preparedness.

El estudio evaluó el impacto de las estrategias de innovación educativa en el rendimiento
académico de los estudiantes de séptimo año de la Unidad Educativa Santa Ana de Cotacachi. Se
utilizó una metodología mixta, combinando análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo a través de
observaciones, entrevistas y análisis documental. Los resultados indicaron una mejora significativa
en el desempeño académico, especialmente en estudiantes con acceso a tecnologías y metodologías
activas. Sin embargo, la capacitación docente y la infraestructura tecnológica influyeron en la
efectividad de estas estrategias. Se concluye que la innovación educativa favorece el aprendizaje,
pero su impacto depende de factores contextuales y de la preparación del docente
