| dc.description | Con la finalidad de ayudar a los sectores rurales del Ecuador que posean dificultades para acceder a instalaciones médicas, se propone brindar servicios de salud de manera temporal a través del diseño de una Infraestructura Hospitalaria Modular. La idea principal de este proyecto, se basa en el traslado de una unidad sanitaria a personas que residan en zonas de difícil acceso; y después de un tiempo, movilizarse hacia otra localidad. Para lograr este objetivo se ha determinado mediante la ayuda de expertos en salud, que áreas y espacios necesitaría este centro para ser funcional y favorecer a la mayor cantidad de pacientes en un cada punto. A partir de esa información se concluyó que se necesitan módulos que permitan realizar cirugías menores y que tengan la capacidad de adaptarse al terreno y clima de cada región. En cuanto a movilidad, se busca que la infraestructura pueda transportarse por vías complicadas haciendo el menor uso posible de maquinaria externa. Adicionalmente, estos módulos deben estar diseñados para ser ensamblados de la forma más intuitiva y rápida posible. Por último, se estima que gracias a este diseño se pueda distribuir de mejor manera la medicina en todo el Ecuador, ayudar durante emergencias y proporcionar espacios de práctica y educación para futuros profesionales de la salud. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In order to help rural areas of Ecuador that have difficulties in accessing medical facilities, it is proposed to provide health services on a temporary basis through the design of a Modular Hospital Infrastructure. The main idea of this project is based on the transfer of a health unit to people who live in areas of difficult access; and after a while, move to another location. In order to achieve this objective, it has been determined with the help of health experts, which areas and spaces this center would need to be functional and favor the greatest number of patients at each point. Based on this information, it was concluded that modules are needed that allow minor surgeries to be performed and that have the capacity to adapt to the terrain and climate of each region. In terms of mobility, the infrastructure should be able to be transported along complicated roads with the least possible use of external machinery. In addition, these modules must be designed to be assembled as intuitively and quickly as possible. Finally, it is estimated that thanks to this design it will be possible to better distribute medicine throughout Ecuador, help during emergencies and provide practice and education spaces for future health professionals. | |
