Abstract
Through the comparison of different jurisdictions, this essay investigates and
exposes the importance of the Ecuadorian tax authority, Servicio de Rentas Internas,
identifies the different and particular types of income that digital content creators can
receive, in order to establish standards to ensure higher income tax collection from this
emerging economic group.

A través de la comparación de distintas jurisdicciones, el presente ensayo
investiga y expone la importancia de que la autoridad tributaria ecuatoriana, el Servicio de
Rentas Internas, identifique los distintos y particulares tipos de ingresos que pueden
percibir los creadores de contenido digital, para así elaborar normas cuyo alcance asegure
una mayor recaudación de impuesto a la renta por parte de este nuevo grupo económico.
