The increasing digitization of social, commercial, and legal relationships has generated new ways of producing and using evidence within judicial proceedings. In this context, digital evidence has acquired particular relevance in Ecuadorian civil proceedings due to the frequent use of electronic documents, emails, data messages, and other technological evidence. However, its legal treatment presents difficulties related to its authenticity, integrity, admissibility, and judicial evaluation. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the incorporation and evaluation of digital evidence in Ecuadorian civil proceedings according to the General Organic Code of Procedures (COGEP), in order to determine the sufficiency of its regulatory framework. The legal problem lies in establishing whether the COGEP offers adequate regulations for the incorporation and evaluation of this type of evidence in civil trials. The research is conducted using a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach, applying the legal-dogmatic method, comparative law, documentary research, and content analysis
