ANÁLISIS DE LAS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICA DE TURISMO EN GALÁPAGOS Y SU INCIDENCIA EN EL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE

| dc.description | El objetivo del estudio es analizar las políticas públicas de turismo en Galápagos y su incidencia en el desarrollo sostenible. La concepción teórica del estudio está basada en la teoría de los 17 objetivos del desarrollo sostenible que porpne la ONU. Por otro lado, el enfoque metodológico es cuantittaivo, ya que se aplicó una encuesta a 274 funcionarios de instituciones públicas, representantes de operadoras turísticas y organizaciones sin fines de lucro vinculadas al tema.Se obtuvo como resultado,que el 27% expresó piensa que las políticas de turismo no fomentan el bienestar económico de las comunidades locales.El 38,9% está de acuerdo con que las políticas públicas de turismo están correctamente diseñadas para promover el desarrollo, mientras que un 18% está en desacuerdo que las políitcas consideran el desarrollo sostenible y entre un 29% que marcó la opción neutral y un 13;5 % está en desacuerdo que las autoridades estén comprometidos en el cumplimientoen la protección del medio.Por lo que se concluye que desarrollo sostenible del turismo busca el equilibrio en las tres dimensiones claves: medio ambiente, economía y sociedad, mientras que el sector político es un pilar relevante para el desarrollo de proyectos sustentables, a través de programas gubernamentales que se orientan en obtener el desarrollo turístico sostenible. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of the study is to analyze public tourism policies in the Galapagos and their impact on sustainable development. The theoretical conception of the study is based on the theory of the 17 sustainable development objectives proposed by the UN. On the other hand, the methodological approach is quantitative, since a survey was applied to 274 officials of public institutions, representatives of tour operators and non-profit organizations linked to the subject. The result was that 27% expressed that they think that tourism policies do not promote the economic well-being of local communities. 38.9% agree that public tourism policies are correctly designed to promote development, while 18% disagree that the policies consider sustainable development and between 29% who marked the neutral option and 13.5% disagree that the authorities are committed to compliance in the protection of the environment. Therefore, it is concluded that sustainable tourism development seeks balance in the three key dimensions: environment, economy and society, while the political sector is a relevant pillar for the development of sustainable projects, through government programs that are oriented to obtain sustainable tourism development. | |
