| dc.description | El objetivo del presente artículo consiste en demostrar que los estilos artísticos europeos impregnados en las esculturas del Cementerio Patrimonial forman parte de la cultura e identidad guayaquileña. Por medio de esto se busca llevar al ciudadano a la reflexión de que en su ciudad tiene este Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación con gran valor y significado desde siglos atrás. Para evidenciar la importancia de la huella artística europea del camposanto y su valor patrimonial, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas a profesionales expertos. Los resultados muestran que en las esculturas se encuentran perennizados los sentimientos de la familia hacia el difunto a través de la cual se manifiesta que lo honró, así como la ideología y conocimientos culturales del escultor. Con estos resultados se llega a la conclusión que los guayaquileños contrataron a los artistas europeos para eternizar a sus seres queridos como ocurría en el Viejo Continente y el escultor también vive a través de su obra de arte. | es |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this article is to show that the European artistic styles impregnated in the sculptures of the Patrimonial Cemetery are part of Guayaquil’s culture and identity. Through this, the study seeks to make the citizen reflect that in his city he has a Cultural Heritage of the Nation which has had with great value and meaning for centuries. Interviews to skilled professionals were performed to evidence the importance of the European artistic footprint in the Cemetery and his patrimonial value. The results show that the sculptures reflect the feelings of the family for the deceased, through which they honored him, as well as the ideology and cultural knowledge of the sculptor. The results conclude that the citizens hired the European artists to eternalize their loved ones, as was done in the Old Continent and the sculptor also live through his artwork | es |
