| Resumen : | This article aims to demonstrate the relationship between digital illiteracy and economic growth and poverty. The theory used endogenous growth in which explains that economic growth is generated from a system as a direct result of internal processes such as human capital. Within the theoretical framework, the causes and consequences of the increase in the digital illiteracy rate at the beginning of the 21st century are analyzed. On the other hand, it analyzes what happens nowadays with the digital illiteracy rate, since it has fallen in Ecuador in the last years. With information from the World Bank and the Internet World Stats between 2005 and 2015, the linear regression model was used to test the relationship between dependent and independent variables. | Descripción : | Este objetivo de este estudio es demostrar la relación entre analfabetismo digital con el crecimiento económico y la pobreza. La teoría utilizada es la del crecimiento endógeno la cual explica que el crecimiento económico se genera desde dentro de un sistema como resultado directo de procesos interno como el capital humano. Dentro del marco teórico se analizan las causas y consecuencias sobre el incremento en la tasa de analfabetismo digital a principios del siglo XXI y por otro lado se analiza lo que sucede en la actualidad con la tasa de analfabetismo digital, puesto que ha decrecido en Ecuador en los últimos años. Con la información del Banco Mundial y el Internet World Stats entre el año 2005- 2015, se utilizo el modelo regresión lineal para comprobar la relación entre las variables dependientes e independientes. Los resultados determinan que no existe información suficiente para que existe relación entre analfabetismo digital y crecimiento económico; pero si existe correlación con la pobreza. |
