The project consists in the design and the construction of a new convention center for business tourism in Ecuador. Through the present investigation, I demonstrate the need to build an architectural landmark in the city of Guayaquil, within the canton of Samborondón, specifically at km 10 next to Plaza Batán, which benefits the city, culturally, socially and economically and the country by promoting its development and growth by encouraging the presence of international entrepreneurs and investors. The geographical location chosen to develop the project represents an opportunity in Ecuador due to the growing socio - economic evolution of our country and the permanent development of strategies to motivate the attraction of international tourists, as well as the lack of business centers in the main commercial city of Ecuador. The new convention center will provide better quality to international business tourists in relation to the current offer of business centers, and its new impressive infrastructure must be accompanied with special attention, advice and continuous monitoring by employees. With the objective of differentiating the proposed building from the current offer, five convention centers already established in Ecuador were studied: the Simón Bolívar Convention Center, the Quitumbe Convention Center, the Quito Quorum, the Quito Exhibition Center and the CEMEXPO Business Center. For the development of this project, three reference international buildings have been reviewed that served as a model for the proposed design of the Convention Center on the Samborondón road. First, the design of the Tokyo International Forum was revised due to its concept of linking an open public space in the center of its design with the main building. Secondly, the design of the International Convention Center of Barcelona was revised due to its modern features facing the sea, and its capacity to take advantage of the space to host events of global reach. Finally, I reviewed the design of the Lille Grand Paláis due to its International prestige for hosting annually worldwide events. A study of the sector was made through existing information from local public institutions and information obtained in the field through technical visits. It was evidenced that the buildings of thees
