DISEÑO DE MOBILIARIO MULTIFUNCIONAL PARA PLANES HABITACIONALES DE VIVIENDAS DE INTERÉS SOCIAL DE LA CIUDAD DE GUAYAQUIL

Abstract

This work consists of a study of the design of multifunctional furniture applied to houses with reduced space such as those of the macro-sets housing in the city of Guayaquil. Since this type of housing is destined to people of limited resources, it was decided to focus equally on the design of furniture for this sector of the market. The type of methodology applied in this thesis work is descriptive, where the requirements of the selected group of population with unstable economic situations were analyzed. At the same time it is presented a study of the properties, advantages and methods of construction of the main material for the multifunctional furniture collection which is medium density fiberboard MDF. Likewise, similar national and international cases are presented that contributed to the final design and the constructive solutions of the furniture. On the other hand, the design was based on the parameters of design in terms of color, ergonomics and human anthropometry to ensure functionality. Finally, the result of this work presents a proposal for multifunctional furniture design that can be located in reduced spaces at affordable prices for people with limited resources. In this way, the objectives of identifying and meeting the needs of the target user were met and the design demonstrated to be economically accessible.
