Resumen : The work exposed discloses the historical record from 2010 to 2015 of the faunal collection of the Parque Historico Guayaquil (PHG) which consists of birds, reptiles, mammals and fish. Although the PHG has maintained this collection since 1999 there haven’t been any records of previous years since this information hasn’t been collected before, which is important for its diffusion and management. The 2015 inventory was updated, the information from 2010 to 2015 was analyzed and alternatives to the management of the collection of wildlife PHG were proposed. We reviewed and analyzed the technical reports from 2010 to 2015 and the 2007 management plan, provided by the Dirección de Parques y Espacios Públicos. The 2015 collection of fauna consists of 53 species and 193 individuals distributed in: 25 bird sp, 13 mammal sp, 10 reptile sp and 5 fish sp. The years 2013 and 2015 showed 53 sp; 2010 and 2014 recorded 50 sp and 2012 46 sp. It is suggested that a defined collection be maintained to avoid long-term changes in the forest landscape and optimize logistic and operational resources, given that the objective of the ZVS is to recreate the characteristic fauna of the Ecuadorian coast and not showcase wildlife from other regions or exotic animals
