The guarantee of the right to a natural judge presents different nuances in ordinary and Indigenous justice, which does not imply disregarding the constitutional legit-imacy of both structures. Based on this premise, the present study analyzes the technical‑legal criteria through which the right to a natural judge is ensured within Ecuadorian Indigenous justice. A qualitative methodological approach was used, applying the methods of analysis–synthesis and inductive–deductive reasoning, along with documentary analysis. Achieving an appropriate balance between the two jurisdictions makes it possible to resolve dogmatic tensions without sacrific-ing Indigenous autonomy or the principles of the constitutional State. The study concludes that the right to a natural judge, both in the ordinary and Indigenous ju-risdictions, derives its legitimacy from the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, and that differences between them are best resolved through intercultural dialogue.esJuez naturaljusticia indígenajurisdicciónlegitimidaddiálogo intercultural.DERECHO AL JUEZ NATURAL EN LA JUSTICIA INDÍGENA: CRITERIOS DE LA CORTE CONSTITUCIONALThesis
