This research analyzes parental joint responsibility and the involvement of the noncustodial parent in the integral development of minors, considering its importance within family law and child protection. Theoretical foundations regarding the evolution of parental authority and the principle of the best interests of the child are examined. Furthermore, international instruments and Ecuadorian regulations establishing the obligation to guarantee balanced participation from both parents are reviewed. The study emphasizes that parental responsibilities do not vanish upon the dissolution of the couple’s relationship, highlighting the role of the noncustodial parent in maintaining affective bonds and emotional stability. It is evident that joint responsibility favors relationships centered on child wellbeing; however, challenges such as family conflicts and cultural limitations in the practical application of regulations are identified. Finally, it is determined that the active participation of both parents is fundamental, underscoring the need to strengthen legal and educational mechanisms that promote this model to guarantee the effective protection of the rights of children and adolescents.esCorresponsabilidad parentalparticipación efectivabienestar infantilderechos y deberesinterés superior del niñoCORRESPONSABILIDAD PARENTAL Y PARTICIPACIÓN DEL PROGENITOR NO CUSTODIO EN EL DESARROLLO DEL MENORThesis
