ANÁLISIS DE UN BLOQUE ALIGERADO CON CASCARILLA DE ARROZ TRITURADA PARA MAMPOSTERÍA REFORZADA

Abstract

For many years, the economical and environmental needs had required deep investigation about new alternatives for architecture and construction in different aspects. For this project, the chosen material was the rice husk as a new element in order to elaborate blocks for reinforced masonry, with the objective of decreasing production and construction costs and increasing the "ecofriendly" benefits in massive production. To achieve it, different proportions of crushed rice husk will be tested and used in experimentation, in order to define its composition characteristics, its resistance and durability. This will tell if it is suitable as an alternative and ecological solution for the construction industry demand.
