PROPUESTA ARQUITECTÓNICA DE UN CENTRO DE SANACIÓN PARA ADOLESCENTES VARONES CON ADICCIONES EN GUAYAQUIL

Abstract

The concern that the authorities and citizens in general have, is not only due to the increase in the addictive rate in the City of Guayaquil, but also to the lack of places directed and specifi cally designed to care for young people with these symptoms. A drug rehabilitation center aims to address issues of social and family nature, especially when it comes to teenagers. In order to address an effective rehab process, architecture must also be integrated and must study how it interacts within the patient, giving way to neuroarchitecture. Architecture has to have a proactive role within the treatment, in order to have as a result, an environment that stimulates the healing process and helps early reintegration of the teenager into society. The objective of the proposed project is to provide a specialized healing center for male teenagers, where they will be cared for on a residential basis. This center will also provide comfort spaces, a design that spreads confi dence in patients, using transitory spaces, which together with sustainable architecture will create an environment that transforms and infl uences patients, who will be part of this concept, also counting with help of trained personnel to develop in each specific area.
