| Resumen : | The objective of the present study is to evaluate the perception that the affiliates of the Rural Social Security (SSC) of Manabí, Ecuador have regarding the health service received during the year 2017. It begins with a review of the origin and background of the SSC in Ecuador, levels of care and complexity. In addition, the concepts of service quality and its main characteristics are studied. Through the application of an instrument and semi-structured interviews to patients seen in 48 medical clinics in the province of Manabí, the factors that influence the first level of health care are identified. It is concluded that affiliates perceive that the transfer conditions, the residence of the staff and a limited infrastructure or resolutive capacity, could be the causes for inadequate attention. Being a study carried out on health care in this special social security scheme, unique in the region, it is recommended to carry out other investigations that allow establishing mechanisms to comply with the standards established for primary health care. |
| Descripción : | El objetivo del presente estudio es evaluar la percepción que tienen los afiliados del Seguro Social Campesino (SSC) de Manabí, Ecuador con respecto al servicio de salud recibido durante el año 2017. Se inicia con una revisión del origen y antecedentes del SSC en Ecuador, los niveles de atención y la complejidad. Además, se estudian los conceptos de calidad de servicios y sus principales características. A través de la aplicación de un instrumento y entrevistas semiestructuradas a pacientes atendidos en 48 dispensarios médicos de la provincia de Manabí, se identifican los factores que influyen en el primer nivel de atención de salud. Se concluye que afiliados perciben que las condiciones de traslado, la residencia del personal y una limitada infraestructura o capacidad resolutiva, pudieran ser las causas para atención no adecuada. Siendo un estudio que se realiza sobre la atención de salud en este régimen especial de seguridad social, única en la región, se recomienda realizar otras investigaciones que permitan establecer mecanismos para cumplir con los estándares establecidos para la atención primaria en Salud. |
