CENTRO GERIÁTRICO INTEGRAL EN LA CIUDAD DE GUAYAQUIL

Abstract

The present titling project is based on the design of a geriatric center in the city of Guayaquil. This responds to the lack of spaces that meet the conditions necessary for the care of the elderly, in terms of their integration with the public space. The purpose of the present titration work is to carry out an integral architectural design for the development of a geriatric center, to promote the adequate assistance and necessary treatments for the care of the elderly without neglecting their role in society as citizens and their right to tour urban spaces. For the collection of information, interviews and spatial analysis of the two most important geriatric centers in Guayaquil were carried out: Hogar San José and Hogar Corazón de Jesús, in order to obtain guidelines for the project. After an analysis to determine the site where the project will be implemented and a study of existing geriatric centers, the design of the Puerto Santa Ana sector is proposed. The proposal is based on the integration of the project with the Guayas River.
