INCIDENCIA DE LA TECNOLOGÍA DE LA INFORMACIÓN EN LA ANSIEDAD DEL DOCENTE DE UNA INSTITUCIÓN DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR .

Abstract

Although technology has influenced positively in educational work, the teacher is obliged to continuously renew knowledge and to apply them efficiently; generating more frequently elevated levels of techno job anxiety. This article examines the impact on the relationship between the information technology available (independent variable) and the level of anxiety (dependent variable) caused in the work of the teacher in a public institution of higher education. For this purpose, we used Labour Socio-demographic instrument and developed another instrument to evaluate the techno job anxiety, from a Scale of Teacher Assessment. The results showed a low level of anxiety in the 57.2 percent of the study population; while a 33.3 percent showed an average level of anxiety and only 9.4 percent denoted a high level of anxiety. Among the causes which gave rise to the Medium - High level of anxiety in the educational institution, have the low investment in technology and the non-availability of technological resources. However, it is important to highlight the positive attitude of teachers to these limitations.
