ÍNDICE DE CONFIANZA EMPRESARIAL Y RIESGO PAÍS: INFLUENCIA CON LA INVERSIÓN EXTRANJERA DIRECTA EN ECUADOR

Abstract

This study aims to determine if the index of business confidence and the country risk affects the foreign direct investment in Ecuador. To confirm the analysis for this study a bibliographic research will be conducted and applying the deductive positivist quantitative method. Additionally, multiple linear regressions performed with continuous quarterly data from the website of the Central Bank of Ecuador between the years 2007-2014, using descriptive inferential statistics. On the other hand, the importance of this study is to establish how the business confidence index helps multinationals and investors in the investment decision in any sector of the economy of Ecuador. However, changes in the risk of investing in Ecuador have changed. Besides the attraction of foreign investment it is also reflected in the facilities given to the investor for the development of new projects. As a result of this study we found that the variables in this study index of business confidence and country risk have greater influence to foreign direct investment. Therefore, the variables that influence the foreign direct investment are other different to those applied in this investigation.
